The growing yogi has an inquiring mind! At Resilient Spark Yoga Studio, classes are designed to meet each child with their own tools of resilience. Daily living requires the skill to live within each moment. RSY integrates sensory & spatial awareness, self-regulation, exploration of both fine & gross motor skills, basic anatomy and mathematics, as well as science exploration. Tabata warm-ups and rhythmic timing are also incorporated into the yoga session. Through metronome timing, children learn focused attention, motor coordination, and self regulation techniques.
Kids & teen yoga classes are taught from a variety of yoga disciplines: Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Kundalini, and Somatics (muscle re-education).
The Resilient Teen
Calling all teens! RSY Studio has partnered with Nonprofit, Evolving Wellness & The PATH Program to bring teens a suicidal awareness curriculum. Resilient Teen presents seven lessons exploring resilience, purpose, support, mental health, identify & assess friendship qualities, and how to cope with change. Yoga is interwoven into the lesson plans through breath work, movement, focused concentration, meditation, and self awareness through journaling.
